APPLICATION    OF   INDIVIDUAL LY  TESTED    DOSES   NYSTATIN    IN TREATMENT   OF PATIENTS  WITH  INTESTINAL  CANDIDIASIS

N.E. Djumaeva. Research  Institute   for Epidemiology,  Microbiology  and Infectious   Diseases , Tashkent, Uzbekistan

To test  the individual  daily dose of poliene  antimycotic  Nystatinum (  Mycostatinum)  for patients with intestinal  candidiasis   we used non- invasive  express – method  of testing   daily  dose of drugs. The  method is based  on registration   of    bio- potentials  on acupuncture  sites  of the organs  under study. All patients  signed fully informed   consent  to be involved into the study.                    The  patients   with the verified diagnosis  of intestinal candidiasis  (fungal  disbacteriosis)  composed  the main group ( 15(60%)   and the control group (10(40%) . have been studied  by microscopically, cultural  and endoscope  methods  from January 2003    to    February 2004. The age range  from 15 to 61 (median 38).The sex ratio (M\ F) – 1,3( 11\14).The doses of Nystatinum  were individually  tested by Mini- Expert DT (Russia)  at different   stages of the therapy. The patients of the control group were treated by routine doses  of  Nystatinum ( 6 000 000 Un  per day during   10 days).
In the  main group , the individual  tested doses  of  Nystatinum  ranged from 4 500 000 Un to 13 500 000 Un , while the 13 – days course doses  ranged from  28 500 000  un to 78 750 000                                                  Un   administered   as bolus- therapy.  After the treatment  the signs of   clinical and etiological  recovery  were registered  in 14( 93,5%) patients of the main group and  in 3 (30%)   patients of the control group.
There  were   no complications or adverse effects of application of Nystatinum  in the individually  tested  doses. Comparison  of these findings  shows  that Nystatinum  is a drug of choice  when treating  intestinal candidiasis , it being recommended  to use according  to the results of individual  testing  doses as this   has an evident  curative effect.
